Installing Windows 8 on Your Laptop
 If you are one of the early adopters of technology, you undoubtedly have checked out some of the new features that Windows 8 has to offer. You can purchase a disc from any retailer, or purchase it directly from Microsoft for download on your laptop.
Before you invest in Windows 8 for your laptop, you might want to make sure that your laptop has the specifications to be able to handle Windows 8, or your machine will not be able to support all of the features of Windows 8. For example, you will need at least 20GB of free space to download the files. In addition, Windows 8 works best with touch screen laptops, although it can work on a standard laptop.
When you download Windows 8, you can install the files directly on your laptop without needing to save the discs in CD DVD cases or clear DVD cases for safekeeping. Simply make your purchase online and install the files directly to your laptop. You will receive a receipt via e-mail, so it is important to save it in case you have any difficulties.
Follow the directions for downloading Windows 8. The process is fairly straightforward and difficult to mess up. However, if you run into errors, such as an error stating that you do not have enough space, you may need to delete some other files and programs to successfully download and install the Windows 8 files.
Once you have downloaded Windows 8, you will need to restart your computer to finish the installation process. After that, you can begin to enjoy using your new Windows 8 operating system.
