Compatible with many other "plus" type DVD+R burner brands and models, see note below NOTE -- Upgrading your drive's firmware (see links below) generally improves performance, speed and reliability with blank DVD+Rs. Once you've got the latest drive firmware, then upgrading your DVD burning software to the latest version (from their web pages) can usually improve your drive's performance with many brands of DVD+Rs. Also, some software simply supports one or two drives and disc brands better than others. A little experimentation between leading software programs can save you a lot of time and frustration. See our DVD Recordable FAQ page for DVD software recommendations and links. If this is your first disc order, before ordering be sure that you have a "plus" type DVD burner - DVD+R discs are not compatible with the older A03/1-3 and A04/104 type Pioneer (except their DVR-A06/106D), Apple Mac G4/G3 Superdrives, Panasonic and other similar "general" type DVD-RAM capable stand alone or "set top" DVD recorders COMPATIBILITY UPGRADE NOTES - These discs have been tested and certified to work well with DVD+R "plus" type DVD burners, and can be played on most DVD players. Most problems with disc compatibility are actually caused by outdated drive firmware. Firmware controls how your drive works with different brands of discs. Recent firmware upgrades are now available for most DVD burner drives that tremedously improve the drives' ability to recognize and burn more brands of DVD discs properly, so those discs will play without errors on most DVD players. You should check to see if new upgrades are available frequently, as new releases are now being released often.
