These AZO discs are certainly the most inexpensive true archival quality media, that actually meets industry archiving video and data storage standards. Consistent manufacturing delivers reliable performance for burners and players that have proven compatible with AZO dye DVD-R. For compatible machines and software (shown below), these discs can in fact deliver high performance at a rock bottom price. Once recorded accurately, the discs play dependably well on the great majority of DVD players. Cons -- These are 'not your old silver/blue' DVD-R discs, so be sure to check the compatibility before ordering large quantities. Be absolutely SURE you are using the latest available firmware for your burner (see our "Check Your Burner" link on our front page). Be sure to use only the latest software versions with these new discs. Older software may not support these discs, or may support them only at slower speeds. Check with your software maker for updates (i.e. Roxio CD DVD Creator, Nero, uLead, etc.). We recommend you try Nero 6.3.1.10 or newer for most recording projects on most DVD burners with these discs.DVD Burners -- Works well with most computer DVD writer drives on Windows systems.
