52X CD-R Waterproof Media using Liquid DefenseDescription:We are proud to announce a new line of water-resistant media called Optical Quantum BP (Best Print) with Liquid Defense(tm). Liquid Defense(tm) is a new innovation using nanoparticle technology which secures the printed matter to the disc preventing moisture from separating the ink which causes smearing and bleeding.Previously, traditional inkjet printing was considered inferior to the more expensive thermal printing due to the fact that the inkjet printed image could smear if it were to come into contact with moisture. The Liquid Defense(tm) surface changes the image of inkjet printing with water-resistant and smear-resistant inkjet-printable CD-R and DVD-R media.Traditional inkjet printable media allowed users to utilize inexpensive printers to print full color images and text onto CD and DVD. Even though this was more attractive and appealing than using a felt tip marker and cheaper than purchasing more expensive thermal printers, it had its drawbacks. Traditional inkjet printable discs are not water resistant, many do not offer full photo quality printing and they tend to take a while for the ink to dry on the disc.
The Liquid Defense(tm) surface provides hub printable photo quality full color printing for a truly professional and attractive image with full protection against the hazards of water and moisture. The discs dry almost instantly and are highly resistant to smearing and color bleed when exposed to water and humidity.
The Liquid Defense(tm) media offers superior color and quality at a much more affordable price compared to similar waterproof media on the market. The media is of the highest standards for optimal duplication reliability and playback quality while the superior white coating provides a brilliant eye catching image on every disc. Yet, the Liquid Defense(tm) media is priced at a fraction of the price for alternative water resistant media. This allows the everyday user the ability to afford and utilize inkjet printing without the fear of the image smearing or bleeding on the disc due to inadvertent exposure to water.
Disc Quality Report:The main criteria that are used to determine the quality of CD media are the 'Parity Inner Errors' (PIE) and Parity Inner Failures (PIF). Programs such as Nero identify the total count of (PIE) and (PIF) reported by the DVD drives as errors while it reads the imperfections distributed across the disc surface. Even though this method is not the only criteria available, it is a very useful indicator for the quality of the CD media, since there is a strong correlation between Disc Quality and the total error count."White Inkjet Printable: disc quality score for this media is 87/100"Silver Inkjet Printable: disc quality score for this media is 87/100
